Je confirme.. La libération de tous les prisonniers politiques est pour moi et l’organisation que je dirige (le CL2P) une condition non négociable pour la bonne tenue et la réussite de ce dialogue inclusif que nous appelons de nos vœux depuis plus de trois (03) ans.
Bien évidemment nous nous inscrivons dans le respect de la république du Cameroun et ses institutions, dont le Président de la République (quel qu’il soit).
Je ne participerai jamais à une entreprise d’humiliation de celle-ci ou de ses représentants, quand bien même j’ai de profondes divergences avec ceux-ci sur la gouvernance de l’État, et particulièrement la gestion de la crise devenue guerre civile anglophone.

The Secretary-General welcomes the announcement made today by President Paul Biya on the launch of a national dialogue process in Cameroon. He encourages the Government of Cameroon to ensure that the process is inclusive and addresses the challenges facing the country. He calls on all Cameroonian stakeholders, including the Diaspora, to participate in this effort. The Secretary-General reiterates the readiness of the United Nations to support the dialogue process.

Le Secrétaire général se réjouit de l’annonce faite aujourd’hui par le Président Paul Biya sur le lancement d’un processus de dialogue national au Cameroun. Il encourage le Gouvernement camerounais à veiller à ce que le processus soit inclusif et réponde aux défis auxquels le pays est confronté. Il appelle toutes les parties prenantes camerounaises, y compris la diaspora, à participer à cet effort. Le Secrétaire général réitère la disponibilité des Nations Unies à apporter son soutien au processus de dialogue.

Dialogue inclusif n’est pas monologue partisan
The call for an all inclusive dialogue is very appreciated. The government should now allow Anglophones of various political thought to mobilise, organise themselves and take part without fear of arrest or other punishment for their ideas.
The announcement of the all inclusive dialogue should signal the end of arrests of Anglophones for their political ideas. They should be allowed to participate without restriction. This is about their future.
I urge those who will be attending the national dialogue to call for the release of all those detained in connection with the crisis, the need for constitutional amendment and also to ensure that the form of the state is equally discussed at the dialogue table.
Whilst my expectations were not fully met in the speech, we should give peace a chance by supporting the dialogue process.
