L’Internationale Socialiste exprime sa préoccupation face à l’emprisonnement de Marafa Hamidou Yaya au Cameroun, sur la base d’accusations apparemment motivées politiquement.
Bien que des mesures soient nécessaires pour lutter contre la corruption et le détournement de fonds au Cameroun, ce processus ne doit pas être utilisé comme une excuse pour régler des comptes politiques.
L’Internationale Socialiste fait un appel au gouvernement du Cameroun pour assurer que les droits de l’homme, la Charte des Nations Unies et la Constitution du Cameroun soient respectés dans cette affaire.

The Socialist International expresses its concern at the imprisonment of Marafa Hamidou Yaya in Cameroon, on seemingly politically motivated charges. Though steps are needed to tackle corruption and embezzlement in Cameroon, this process should not be used as an excuse to settle political scores.
The SI calls on the government of Cameroon to ensure that human rights, the United Nations charter and Cameroon’s constitution are respected in this matter.

La Internacional Socialista expresa su preocupación ante el encarcelamiento de Marafa Hamidou Yaya en Camerún, motivado por razones políticas.
No obstante la necesidad de tomar medidas para atacar la corrupción y la malversación de fondos en Camerún, este proceso no debería ser utilizado para saldar cuentas políticas. La IS hace un llamamiento al gobierno de Camerún para asegurar que los derechos humanos, la Carta de Naciones Unidas y la Constitución de Camerún sean debidamente respetados.
